Dimapur, Feb, 28: Public Works Department Workers Association (PWDFWA) Wokha Unit (R&B) has appealed to the concerned department to release immediately ‘Leave without pay’ w.e.f. September to November 2003, which the Government of Nagaland has forcefully implemented to all the work charged employees under NPWD in 2003. In a press release issued by unit president Chumthungo and finance secretary Nsungbeni Kikon, stated that the Finance department had already released for payment since last month and added that leave without pay is meant for W/C salaries. The unit asserted that no group or individual has the authority to deduct any amount from the head as the court fee has been deducted several times to all the W/C employees. Therefore, the unit also requested the concerned authority to make payment as per pay bill voucher i.e. September to November 2003.
