PWD minister inspects development works in Longkong

Dimapur, Nov. 10 (EMN): Minister of PWD (Housing and Mechanical), Tongpang Ozukum, along with Longkong village council members and NDPP officials inspected the ongoing road and traditional community hall construction in Longkong village on November 10.

The minister has expressed satisfaction on the progress of both the projects and lauded the Longkong villagers led by the village council members for the cooperation and support extended to the contractors. He also exuded confidence that the council members would continue to cooperate with the government and other agencies on developmental activities even in future, an update from the press secretary to the minister stated.

It mentioned that Tribal Affairs department had allotted an amount of INR 3 crore was allotted under Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment (SASCI) 2022-23 for blacktopping of road from NH-02 to Longkong village and the construction of a traditional tribal community hall in Longkong village.
