DIMAPUR — Pranab Vidyapith Higher Secondary School (PVHSS), Dimapur, organised an orientation-cum-felicitation programme for the toppers and subject toppers of the HSLC and HSSLC Exams 2023 under NBSE on Wednesday. The event also marked the opening of Arts stream from the academic session 2023-2024.
An update from the school stated that the programme has begun with the universal peace prayer and followed with lighting of lamp and ribbon cutting by Akhale V Khamo, chief guest and general secretary of Indian Red Cross Society Nagaland branch, for the newly opened Arts stream.
Khamo has lauded the school and the teaching faculties for excellent results in the HSLC and HSSLC exams every year and urged the students to derive the full advantages of the scope provided by the school.
She also handed over Pranab Jyoti Awards to the toppers and subject toppers.
Monoj Bhattacharjee, the school’s principal, has welcomed the new-comers of class-XI and also appreciated the teaching staff for their efforts in producing excellent results.

The programme was witnessed by Swami Chinmayanandaji Maharaj, chairman of PVHSS, Dimapur; KK Paul, president of Bengali Samaj; RS Paneswar, social worker and former president of Rotary Club, Dimapur; Dr. Santosh Kumar, principal of PWC, Dimapur; and Samir Saha, senior citizen.
On the occasion, Bhattacharjee presented a rare photo revealing the close association of the former chief minister of Nagaland, Late Vizol Angami, and Late Manik Bhattacharjee, the organizer of PVHSS, Dimapur, to the chief guest.
The programme concluded with an introduction of teaching faculty of all the three streams by the respective in-charges.
