All scripture is God breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God will be thoroughly equipped for every good work. 2nd Timothy 3:16,17.
The sacred words in the scripture are the divine secrets of the author. When we talk about scripture we are reminded of the sacred words spoken to us. The very words written in it are the words of prophecy and the Word of life. Everything that is done is done so that the purpose behind it can be fulfilled. The giver of life has promised eternal life only to those who accepts Christ as the author of life. The writer of Hebrews admonishes us with the saying “ Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfector of our faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, scorning its shame and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:2.
The very verse reflects the purpose of the Word and the depths of God’s love for us. If we fail to understand the significance of it, we will lose the blessing that had been sad before us. The reason the Word came into being was for us to be eternally saved through it. The words of the scripture are not only sacred but it leads to the way of life.
The blessings of the Word are reserved only for the doers of the Word. In other words its meant only for the sons and daughters of God. To be inheritors of th e divine blessings, we have to honor the divine words of wisdom. The best way to honor the divine words is by being in a relationship with the divine author. The Word was given that we may become one in spirit with the giver of life.
As we become one in Christ, we become one in spirit with God. The whole purpose of the scripture is on the verge of being fulfilled. To heal, to save and to deliver us was the sole purpose of Christ’ purpose here on earth. Sensing the helpless condition we were in Christ took the extreme step in suffering for the cause of our salvation.
The scripture is for everyone but only those who obeys the written words will get the benefits of it. Its only those who keeps the Word in their hearts will inherit the promises of the Word. Sin was introduced to cause the downfall of man but the Word was given to foil the plans of the prince of this world. Genesis 3:15 .
The fundamental truth of the scripture is for us to believe and be saved. The words of life, the words of prophecy and the words of wisdom all had its origin from the source of life. In these days of trails, acceptance of the Word through the spirit will make our paths easier as we journey towards the land of righteousness. The reason behind all that the Word is is for us to walk in the truth, to shine for the truth and to live for the truth. Let the purpose of the scripture be fulfilled in your life as you take the straight and narrow path that leads to righteousness. It’s for you, for me and for us. May the promises of it be ours as we live for the Word. In the end when the church of Christ triumphs, we shall be taken up in glory.
