Dimapur, Aug. 12 (EMN): The Pungro Town Students’ Union conducted the 2nd inter-school spelling bee competition on Aug. 11 at Cultural Hall in Pungro Town, under the theme “The thinker builder.”
The president of the union, Pentsumong Wilson in his address enlightened the gathering about the importance of conducting such events.
The guaest speaker for the event, Sanjay Prasad, teacher of GHSS elaborated on the importance of phonetic English.
He said conducting such events for students is important as it gives exposure to learning. Besides spelling bee competition, painting, essay writing, and prepared speech were conducted for the students.
