Nagaland: Pughoboto to purchase TrueNat machine
Dimapur, July 14 (EMN): Shouldering the responsibility to fight the Covid-19 pandemic without depending on the government alone, Pughoboto sub-division task force and Sumi Aphuyemi Hoho (SAH) have decided during a joint meeting to procure a TrueNat machine.
The joint meeting was held under the chairmanship of the ADC of Pughoboto, T Moa Lemtor, at DB hall of the ADC office, Pughoboto, on July 14, a DIPR report stated.
Speaking on the occasion, SAH president Inavi Swu highlighted its contribution of INR 20,000 towards SDTF earlier. He added that although Pughoboto falls under Zunheboto district, it is not feasible to go and test from the district headquarters due to various reasons.
While iterating that public should not only depend on the government to curb the pandemic, Swu assured their continued support to the frontline workers and the sub-division task force. It was also decided that the purchase of TrueNat machine in Pughoboto would be done through free-will donation. In this regard, Health department and the administration were entrusted to take up the matter.
SMO Pughoboto Dr. J Hokugha Sema, while acknowledging the hoho’s concern for the people of Pughoboto, briefed on the standard operating procedures (SOP). He also highlighted the necessity of maintaining adequate manpower and other equipment.
Briefing the house on the efforts made by the doctors for the returnees and contact tracings, he stated that SDTF Pughoboto team was working collectively to contain the pandemic.
Meanwhile, the ADC appreciated the hoho for its concern to procure a TrueNat machine. The meeting also discussed on disposal of materials, safety measures, maintenance of the machine etc.
