DIMAPUR — The Pughoboto Sub-Divisional District Planning and Development Board (SDPDB) meeting for July was held at DB Hall, ADC office, Pughoboto on July 10.

Dr. Sukhato A Sema, MLA, who chaired the meeting, gave an urgent call on the availability of officers and staff at office headquarters to ensure proactive functioning of government machineries, a DIPR report stated.

The chairman also urged the concerned authorities and departments to ensure timely implementation of various developmental projects that have been sanctioned in the subdivision.

Speaking on the agenda of adoption of schools by the SDPDB members, ADC and SDPDB vice-chairman, Tiameren Chang urged the SDPDB members to visit respective adopted schools before the next SDPDB meeting and submit their reports, accordingly.

The board also proposed setting up of post office at Pughoboto town to enable a distinct PIN code for the subdivision, and also recommended the post creation of inspector, Food and Civil Supplies, in the subdivision.

Stressing on the deplorable condition of the road connecting Pughoboto sub-division with Tseminyu, which falls under the jurisdiction of Tseminyu district, the board recommended immediate endorsement of clearance of block drainage, repair and maintenance of the said road to the concerned district authorities of Tseminyu.

With the dual inauguration of the new ADC office complex and first-ever State Bank of India branch in the subdivision scheduled in the month of October 2024, Dr. Sukhato urged the concerned departments to expedite electricity and water connection to the new ADC complex.
