Public College of Commerce celebrates Netaji’s birthday
DIMAPUR — The Public College of Commerce marked the 127th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose on January 25 at its premises in collaboration with the All India Democratic Students’ Organisation (AIDSO).
According to an update, a seminar was held on the occasion, with Hemanta Pegu, one of the secretariat members of AIDSO‘s All India Committee, as the resource person.
In his speech, Pegu mentioned several notable events in Netaji’s life, including his significant role in the formation of the Indian National Army (INA), as well as battles and operations fought by the INA. He also emphasised the significant role played by the people of the Northeast in supporting the INA led by Netaji.
Pegu urged the youth of today to step forward and fulfil the tasks envisioned by Netaji, contributing to the building of a great nation. This, he suggested, would be the most fitting tribute to the legacy of this esteemed leader.
