As part of the Naga Women’s Union campaign for the release of Anthony Ningkhan Shimray and all the Naga political prisoners, NWU has been engaging in various actions; press conference, signature campaign, post cards and poster campaign, press communications, prayer request and memorandum. His next hearing is on August 21.
In support for peace and as a gesture of solidarity with Anthony Ningkhan Shimray and all Naga political prisoners, NWU President L.M. Tabitha in a release informed that there will be a public assembly on August 19 in the districts of Ukhrul, Senapati, Chandel and Tamenglong.
The NWU appealed to take part of the assembly and for any information regarding the program one can contact respective presidents.
