Dimapur, Oct. 21 (EMN): Season 9 of Player Unknown's Battlegrounds is out today, October 21, for PC and October 29 for PlayStation 4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
The new update brings a brand-new map to the game alongside the new ranked season, as well as a survival pass. Smaller changes like new skins, quality-of-life improvements, new currency, weapon balances etc. are included in the update.
The biggest update that Season 9 brings to the game is the brand new map, Paramo. It is by far the smallest map in the game but it is also the most complex. The map's "dynamic world" feature will make sure that it keeps constantly evolving match by match.
PUBG has had dynamic weather on other maps like Sanhok but Paramo will be the first map to take these dynamic changes to the next level. For instance, The locations of major landmarks will change between matches. This will ensure players to figure out fresh tactics and strategy every time they drop.
This time, there will be a support helicopter instead of a plane to both drop players over the map and to deliver supply packages. You can also shoot the helicopters to drop the cargo box they are carrying for the essential early loot.

The new update brings a new item to the game called the "Critical Response Kit" which can revive downed squad members in one second. Also, the new map has several streams of lava flow from active volcanoes around the map. These lava streams are quite dangerous and they add a bit of realism to the map. Stepping foot in lava can lead to a quick death, dealing 10 damage per second to players, ticking every half second. Riding a Motorcycle into lava will destroy your tires and quickly begin to destroy the vehicle, whilst also dealing damage to the player.
