Dimapur, March 22 (EMN): PUBG Mobile has surpassed 1 billion downloads worldwide, the company announced the achievement on Twitter today.

PUBG Mobile was released in 2018 and it quickly became the fourth most downloaded mobile games in 2020 with more than 232 million downloads. It also became the most profitable game last year, earning more than 2.6 billion USD.

PUBG Mobile also celebrated its 3rd-anniversary party on Sunday, March 21. Popular DJ’s like Alesso, Lost Frequencies, and R3HAB contributed new tracks for the game’s anniversary event.

PUBG Mobile is expected to release the new Karakin map on April 7. The sixth classic map was so far only available in the beta version of the battle royale game.

Karakin is a small desert map, similar to Miramar but much smaller in size. It will feature a lobby of 64 players and will have unique map items like sticky bombs.
