The process of teaching and learning is continuous. Learning capacities vary from child to child. The learning environment, opportunities, interests, methodologies, and curiosity of a student have a significant impact on this ongoing process.

The author, Joyce Meyer is the president and founder of Joyce Meyer Ministries, a Christian author, and speaker. As per the Time magazine survey, she was ranked 17th among the 25 most influential charismatic leaders. In this ongoing process, her observation is correct. She used two parallels to explain how a student’s life can change with the right use of chalk and life challenges.
Overcoming challenges in life encourages a person to gain more confidence. A life without challenges is a life without meaning. What makes a man perfect, not the challenges he faces, but how he overcomes and withstands them.
Challenges and opportunities are the axes of life. They are like two sides of the same coin. Life can be enjoyed to the fullest by those who make challenges to opportunities. Mentorship is full of challenges for a mentor. Corona and lockdown resulted in widespread challenges in the education sector, particularly for students and teachers. Especially in the private sector, the crisis was severe, it is not over yet. Teachers’ salaries are cut down by 25 to 50 percent. Parents are in a severe financial crisis, unable to pay school fees on a regular basis. Unaided private schools faced numerous challenges in this regard.
During this time certain parents who can afford to pay their children’s tuition also find loopholes to avoid paying fees. Despicable behaviour like this should be severely condemned by parents with common sense. The right intervention of justice, however, is a hope for us to overcome this economic crisis. The right-thinking patents may also take this as a chance to assist the schools in resolving their challenges.
In this dichotomy of life, teachers are facing the need to overcome the crisis, but who will support them during their time of crisis. Schools should find resources to help their teachers, since they are the institution’s most valuable asset, either from reserves or from the money they have collected from admission fees.
Therefore, every management must support its employees during this crisis. Teachers will certainly put in their best effort to improve the institution’s performance. Therefore, as teachers are changing the lives of students through the mixture of chalk and challenges, it’s the right intervention of management, parents, and society to withstand each mentor during this time of challenges.
