“A teacher is a compass that activates the the magnets curiosity, knowledge and wisdom in the pupils.” Ever Garrison

A teacher and author Garrison provide an amazing comparison of a teacher with a simple but familiar example.

It is a challenge for modern educators to instill curiosity, knowledge, and wisdom in students through innovative and unique teaching techniques. Globalisation has changed the world. With the rapid expansion of technology and knowledge explosion, every mentor must be able to stand up to the challenges of education.

Teachers are considered to be the compasses of what students are curious about, wise, and knowledgeable. Furthermore, he believes that the best teachers teach from the heart, not just from the books. In the current context, a mentor should also be aware of Dr. Howard Gardener’s Multiple Intelligence theory.

A theory of multiple intelligences was introduced by Dr. Howard Gardner in 1983. According to him, there are eight types of intelligence:

1. Visual-spatial,

2. Verbal-linguistic,

3. Musical-rhythmic,

4. Logical-mathematical,

5. Interpersonal,

6. Intrapersonal,

7. Naturalistic, and

8. Bodily-sensing.

It is always necessary for a mentor to be more curious so that their knowledge can be transformed into wisdom. Then they can accelerate curiosity, knowledge, and wisdom in the little hearts. Continuity is a key component of this process. The curiosity, knowledge, and wisdom must be transferred from one end to the other, from the teacher to every student. That is true education. Mentors, I encourage you to work toward achieving that goal.
