Wokha, April 13 (EMN):
Since the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak, the Nagaland government and task force to combat the disease had converted several government hospitals in various districts as Covid-19 hospitals. In this the process, patients in such government health facilities were shifted to private hospitals or healthcare centres.

Now, this has reportedly caused fear among the medical attendant and nurses working in private hospitals, as they could come into contact with patients having symptoms of the Covid-19.

Claiming that new patients are thronging private health centres, while government had provided personal protective equipment (PPE) to only designated Covid-19 hospitals, said a nurse working at a healthcare facility in Wokha, adding that things could get worse if they come into contact with infected people.

The nurse suggested that PPE be provided to all private hospitals and nursing homes in Wokha as well, which will also help the government in combating the common enemy by prevent the spread of the virus.
