[dropcap]P[/dropcap]RINCE William claims one baby is “enough at the moment”.
The second in line to the British throne says he and his wife, Duchess Catherine, could eventually have another child to join eight-month-old Prince George, but at the moment the toddler is keeping their hands full.
Speaking to Sergeant Major Ray Collister at a Saint Patrick’s Day parade in Aldershot, Southern England, today (17.03.14), the prince said: “Maybe one day. One’s enough at the moment.”
The Sergeant Major added: “He said maybe when there’s time.”
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge made their first join public appearance of the year today at the event, where they joined the First Battalion Irish Guards for the third year running.
The prince – who was appointed Colonel of the regiment in 2011 – wore the officer’s frock coat of the Guards to take part in the ceremony.
Another soldier who asked about the royal baby was Guardsman Glenn Tierney.
He said: “I asked them all about George, I’m nosey like that. They said he’s doing really well and he’s very busy crawling and eating.”
During the parade, Catherine, 32, presented officers and warrant officers with Shamrocks, the symbol of Ireland, which is a duty traditionally performed by the wife of a senior officer in the regiment.
