Mokokchung, Aug. 28 (EMN): A total of 21 persons including 10 male and 11 female, who were put under home quarantine after they were traced to be primary/ secondary contact of a positive Covid-19 patient in Mokokchung, tested negative.
Deputy Commissioner of Mokokchung Limawabang Jamir informed on Friday that the 21 persons are residents of the same building at Mongsenbai Ward in Mokokchung town. It was reported that the negative results of the 21 persons were received on August 27.
Jamir has appealed to the citizens to refrain from creating and circulating fake news and rumours relating to Covid-19 in social media and other electronic medium. He also warned that necessary legal action would be initiated against anyone found guilty of creating and circulating fake news and rumours under appropriate section of the Nagaland Epidemic Disease Regulation 2020 and the Epidemic Disease Act of 1897.
