To
The Secretary,
Nagaland Public Service Commission, Kohima.
Sir,
With reference to your advertistment NO.NPSC/ADVT-1/04 Dated Kohima, the 19th October, 2016 that appeared in Nagaland Post and the subsequent Corrigendum/Notification of the same letter No. dated Kohima the 26th October, 2016 on the advertisement of various technical posts. With due respect and humble submission I beg to state that the logic behind the backward tribe quota being reserved from the only one pure post vacancy of Mechanical Engineering line (discipline) is beyond our apprehension.
That Sir, considering the fact that Mechanical Engineering line has a very limited scope with respect to the state of Nagaland. Atleast we are made to feel content this time with one post of Class-I purely from this discipline and other two posts of eligibility shared from other subjects. But to our utter shock on 27th October, 2016 with your Corrigendum/Notification that out of those three posts the higher one is reserved for Backward Tribe, which makes us to ponder in dismay. Why not from other disciplines which have more posts?
Medical Officer, has 16 exculsive posts, no B.T quota
Veterinery Asst. Surgeon has 8 exculsive posts, no B.T quota
Civil Engineering has 46 exculsive posts, out of which 1 SDO and 1 JE reserve for B.T
Electrical Engineering has 15 posts, out of which only 1 post for B.T
Agri has more than 17 post, out of which 1 post reserved for B.T
That, the above presentation indicates some discipline/line with number of vacant posts and reservation made out of it. One may analyse and conclude that there is no prospect for Mechanical Engineering students for the so called advance tribes, where their privileges of merit are cornered by reservation despite their meager scope.
In the light of the above mentioned facts, I on behalf of the Mechanical Engineering aspirant’s parents/guardians would like to earnestly pray to your authority to review the reservation made from this discipline and to cater fair chance to them. And for which act of your kindness we shall ever remain grateful to you.
Yours faithfully,
Zhoto Naleo
