Pradeep C Nair on June 30.[/caption] Dimapur, June 30 (EMN): Major General, Pradeep C Nair, has assumed the post of Inspector General Assam Rifles (North) on June 30. He took over as the 18th Inspector General Assam Rifles (North). The General Officer is an alumni of Sainik School Satara, National Defence Academy, Indian Military Academy and got commissioned to 18 Sikh in December 1985. He has vast experience of the North east having served in Sikkim, Nagaland, Manipur, and Assam. The General Officer has also served in Assam Rifles earlier. The General Officer has commanded his battalion at Assam, Faizabad and in Siachen. He commanded a Brigade in Manipur, wherein he was awarded the Yudh Seva Medal. In a solemn ceremony, Major General Sanjay Gupta handed over the charge to Major General Pradeep C Nair and wished him a professionally satisfying and successful tenure as IGAR (North).
