Dimapur, March 9 (EMN): Tetso College was declared overall champion of the three-day youth festival ‘Powwow 2019’ during the closing ceremony held at Tetso College on March 9. The runners-up championship was won by St. Joseph’s College, Jakhama.
The three-day ‘Powwow’ youth festival 2019 brought together 28 schools and colleges under one platform to compete in sports, literary and cultural events.
Deputy commissioner, Dimapur, Kevekha Kevin Zehol, was the guest of honour of the closing ceremony. The deputy commissioner also gave away prizes to the winners. The overall champion institute was awarded an exposure trip to Hyderabad, Bangalore, and Coimbatore for 10 final year students sponsored by the YouthNet.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC reminded the youth to continue using their talents and skills to progress and create a greater Nagaland. He advised the student to wisely make use of mobile phones as it has the means to both destroy and advance their life. He also conveyed best wishes to the students in their future endeavours.
Prateek Bhattacharya, national sales head of ALS and title sponsors of the event, encouraged students of Nagaland and Northeast to dream big and become stars at the national level.
