DIMAPUR — Power department under Mokokchung transmission division will undertake vegetation clearance of 132kV and 66kV transmission lines from April 25 to May 31.
A press release from the department informed that there will be total shutdown of power supply from 8 am to 4 pm daily in order to facilitate smooth execution of the works. The exercise was necessitated with an aim to provide stable power supply and avoid unwarranted disruption of supply.
It stated that Tuensang district will be affected from April 25 to the 30th, while Zunheboto district from May 6 to the 11th, and Tuli sub-division, Longleng and Mon districts from May 13 to the 18th.
It informed that the vegetation clearance of 132kV Mokokchung-DHEP will be conducted from May 20 to the 25th and 132kV Mokokchung-Maria from May 27 to the 31st.
Meanwhile, the department appealed to all public in the affected areas to extend cooperation and bear with the inconveniences during the shutdown period.
