DIMAPUR — With a power outage disrupting treasury operations on Saturday and the financial year drawing to a close, the Finance department has directed all treasuries and sub-treasuries across Nagaland to remain open on Sunday to clear pending government transactions.
In an official directive, the department stated that treasury work was affected during the afternoon of March 28 due to the power disruption, prompting concerns over delays in year-end financial processing.
Considering the limited number of working days left before the close of the financial year, the state authorities have decided to keep treasuries functional on March 29 from 12 noon onwards.
The move is aimed at ensuring that government transactions are completed on time and that there is no backlog in financial closures.
