Dimapur, May 22 (EMN): The deputy commissioner of Mon, Thavaseelan K, informed the public that Power department, Mon division, would undertake jungle cutting/ clearing exercise from May 25 along the existing 33KV line from 66/33 KV emanating sub-station at Naginimora upto Power House in Mon passing through many villages and towns.
The jungle clearance would be conducted from Tanhai village to Longkei village, Longkei village to Leangnyu village, Leangnyu village to Tenang River, Tenang River to Wakching Road (Old), Wakching Road (Old) to Dhobinalla (Thamnan Ward), and Dhobinalla (Thamnan Ward) to Power House (via KBCM).
The DC informed that the line with a width of Right of Way (ROW) of 15 metres would be kept charged at rated voltage as a standby feeder to Mon headquarters. He further informed all the landowners to collect any valuable crops or trees that fall under the said transmission line on or before May 24.
