Power department cautions public ahead of voltage testing

DIMAPUR — The Office of the Executive Engineer, Transmission Division, Department of Power has informed that four 132kV bays at the 220/132 kV Zhadima (New Kohima Sub-Station), LILO 132kV Kohima – Wokha at 220/132 kV Zhadima (New Kohima Sub-Station), will be test charged at the rated voltage at 11 am on March 22 and will remain charged thereafter.

According to a notification, it will pass through the jurisdictions of Zhadima village and Nerhema, Phezha village.

In another notification, the department informed all concerned that the 132kV D/C Transmission line from Zhadima to Nagaland University, along with the 132/33kV, 2×25 MVA at Nagaland University Sub-station passing through the jurisdictions of Zhadima village, Nerhema (Phezha village), Thizama village, Meriema village, and Nagaland University, shall be test charged at the rated voltage at 11 am on March 26 and would remain charged thereafter.

The department has informed the public not to touch the said lines nor go near them, and anyone doing so shall be doing so at their own risk. The department of Power shall not be held responsible for any untoward incident whatsoever.
