DIMAPUR — The postal department will observe ‘National Postal Week’ from October 9 to the 13th on the theme “Together for trust.”
An update from the department stated that ‘National Postal Week’ is an annual event that holds a special place in their hearts as it highlights the pivotal role of postal services in fostering connectivity, trust, and transparency in society.
It added that this year’s theme “Together for trust” resonates deeply with the core values of the postal sector, emphasising its commitment to delivering accurate and reliable information to every corner of the nation.
The celebration has been designed in line with the emerging role of India Post in the socio-economic development of the nation.
With a focus on Vittiya Sashaktikaran (Financial empowerment), mail and parcel services like DNK (Dak Ghar Niryaat Kendra), ONDP, tie up with Amazon and other retailers, a bouquet of services for Antyodaya, it stated that the National Postal Week 2023’s activities are designed to inform and educate the last mile user, MSMEs and artisans about the changing role of post offices as one-stop solution for delivery of services.
Meanwhile, the department has invited citizens, business establishments and communities to participate actively in National Postal Week celebrations.
