Positive change in Indo-Naga peace process: NSCN-IM

Dimapur, August 24: The NSCN-IM today said, as every round of talks progresses positively towards the final solution in one of the reasoned round of talks Eustar Chishi Swu, Steering Executive Member, wife of chairman late Isak Chishi Swu participated for the first time in the talks held with the Gol on August 19 in New Delhi.
The MIP GPRN/NSCN in a statement expressed high hope that under the leadership of Narendra Modi and R N.Ravi, interlocutor Gol and the collective leadership, its members and the team of NSCN would apply best wisdom to resolve the issue which is acceptable and honourable to both parties at the earliest. The NSCN said that there had been drastic positive changes in the Indo-Naga peace process after Prime Minister Narendra Modi took over the reins .The serious and sincere effort given by both sides have resulted into the signing of the 3rd August 2015 Framework Agreement upon which the final solution is being worked out. The NSCN and the Naga people appreciated the Gol for recognizing the sovereign rights of the Nagas through the Framework Agreement.
“lndo-Naga Political conflict spanning over seven decades and which is undoubtly (sic)the longest such problem in the South East Asia is now on the verge of coming through a final solution.”
The MIP said, there is a paradigm shift to the approach by the Indian leaders then and now resulting to understanding and viewing at the problem from the perspective of both sides.
It said, appreciation of the difficulties of the opposite party has brought the two sides closer than ever, solution can be brought about only when reality is admitted and mutual respect prevails upon imposition of others will.
