‘Poshan Maah’ launched at Tseminyu

Dimapur, Sep. 5 (EMN): Extra Assistant Commissioner (EAC) of Tsogin Rozy Sangtam launched the “Poshan Maah, 2020” at Tseminyu town hall on September 1, an update received here on Friday informed.

Speaking at the launching programme, Sangtam stressed on the importance of living a healthy lifestyle and eating the right amount of nutritious food. She also impressed upon the participants, comprising of town GBs, AWWs and other convergent departments, the role of all stakeholders in creating a free anaemia society, especially in children, adolescent girls, pregnant women and lactating mothers.

The EAC lauded the sub-division of being Covid-19-free so far and further urged all to do away with the discrimination and social stigmatisation of returnees, frontline workers and those already recovered from the novel coronavirus.

Senior Supervisor Obed Magh said that the “Poshan Maah” is a month-long observation wherein various nutrition related awareness programmes and activities will be conducted throughout the month.

Ashale Seb, IEC consultant of PHED Kohima Rural division spoke on water and excreta related diseases while Victoria Kent, BPA administer the gathering in reading out the Poshan’s pledge.
