DIMAPUR — In preparation for the upcoming general election to the 18th Lok Sabha, a one-day training session was conducted on Monday at the DC conference hall in Mokokchung.

According to a DIPR report, the training aimed to equip the election expenditure monitoring (EEM) team and nodal officers of enforcement agencies with the necessary skills and knowledge for their election-related duties.

Renben Mozhui, assistant election officer of Mokokchung, provided an overview of the roles and responsibilities of the officials entrusted with election-related duties on the occasion. His briefing focused on ensuring the smooth conduct of the election process.

Mechietsho Koza, EAC Chuchuyimlang and nodal officer for EEM, delivered a PowerPoint presentation emphasising the guidelines pertaining to EEM, stressing its crucial role in upholding the principles of free, fair, and peaceful elections.

The training session also included practical insights and guidelines to enable the officials to effectively carry out their duties in monitoring election expenditures and enforcing regulations.
