DIMAPUR — Political parties, Nagaland University and other organisations have condoled the demise of Nagaland Governor La. Ganesan, who passed way on Friday in Chennai.
NPP Nagaland: The National People’s Party (NPP) Nagaland state unit and all its frontals condoled the demise of Ganesan. “His passing is a profound loss not only to the State of Nagaland but to the entire nation. La. Ganesan was a statesman of exceptional integrity, a guiding light whose leadership was marked by humility, wisdom, and an unwavering commitment to public service,” the state NPP stated in a condolence message.

The party also stated that during his tenure as the Governor of Nagaland, he worked tirelessly to uphold the values of unity, peace, and progress, earning the respect and affection of the people he served. “His ability to connect with people from all walks of life and his dedication to the welfare of the state will remain a lasting inspiration,” the message added.
UNDP: The United Naga Democratic Party (UNDP) stated that late Ganesan’s tenure was marked by dignity, humility, and an unwavering commitment to the welfare of the people of the State. “He upheld the values of service and unity, and his approachable nature earned him the respect and admiration of all sections of society, the party stated in a condolence message.
“We recognise his invaluable contributions in strengthening governance and fostering harmony among communities. The people of Nagaland have lost not only a constitutional head but also a compassionate leader whose dedication will be remembered for years to come.”
NGBF: The Nagaland Gaonburas Federation (NGBF) expressed shock over the sudden demise of Nagaland governor. “The NGBF happened to meet him a couple of times, he was a kind and straight forward person, in his short stay in Nagaland as the Governor he has rendered his services towards the people in the best possible manner. In his demise, we have lost a great leader and a statement,” the federation stated in a condolence message.
Nagaland University: The Nagaland University, in a condolence message, stated that it was saddened to learn the passing of Nagaland governor who was also the chief rector of the university. “As the chief rector of Nagaland University, Ganesan provided invaluable guidance and support to the academic and administrative community. His vision, wisdom, and encouragement played a vital role in shaping the growth and development of the university,” it stated.
WSSU: The Western Sumi Students' Union (WSSU), in a condolence message, stated that Ganesan’s life was marked by unwavering dedication, integrity, and a deep commitment to public service.
“During his tenure, La. Ganesan's humility, wisdom, and steadfast leadership left an indelible mark on the people of Nagaland. His guidance and encouragement will be fondly remembered and cherished,” the message read.
