DIMAPUR — Member of Nagaland Legislative Assembly (MLA) and chairman of Kiphire district planning and development board (DPDB), C Kipili Sangtam, inaugurated a police station in Seyochung town on November 15. The new police station is the fourth police station in Kiphire district.
Speaking at the inaugural programme, Kipili stated that setting up of police station is not only about development but also a big responsibility for the public as well as police personnel. He requested the people of Seyochung to cooperate with one another and give support to the police personnel for the smooth functioning of the police station, stated a DIPR report.
He also appealed to the police personnel to utilise the police station in a proper manner and to fully support the public in all the aspects.
The programme was chaired by additional superintendent of police, Kiphire, Lanu Aier, while short speeches were delivered by deputy inspector general of police (DIG), M James Humtsoe; deputy commissioner of Kiphire, John Tsulise Sangtam; and chairman of joint community of Seyochung town, Atoka T Yepthomi.
It stated that council chairmen from 26 villages under Seyochung town, Head GBs, ADC of Seyochung and the head of offices in Kiphire attended the inaugural programme.
