Dimapur — In an intensified drive against drug trafficking, Kohima Police intercepted and seized a total of 1060 gram of suspected heroin worth over INR 1.11 crore in two separate operations within the district on July 1 and 3.
A police report issued by PRO of Kohima Police stated that the drugs were packed in soap cases (total 91 nos) and concealed in sacks of rice and in the passenger seats of the intercepted vehicles.
In this regard, two individuals namely Hrüvilou (22), resident of Senapati in Manipur, and Kimhoi Kipgen (52), resident of Kangpokpi in Manipur have been arrested and cases have registered under NDPS Act at South Police Station for further investigation.
