[dropcap]D[/dropcap]iphupar police have arrested a man accused of attempting to kill his tenant on February 24 with a “sword.” The man, identified as one Medonizo Angami of Diphupar village near Dimapur is accused of trying to kill one Sanjay, who lived as a tenant of the accused.
On February 24, a press release from the Diphupar police on Saturday informed that Medonizo Angami went to the house of Sanjay when the latter was having food.“Mr. Medonizo told Mr. Sanjay to bring one bottle of Sprit then Sanjay gave the bottle during meal as he was then after few minutes Medonizo came again and started beating Sanjay by pushing and kicking also pull him out of the house and with the sword he cut the both of his leg and grievously injured both the leg without mercy on seeing that the victims wife rushed to the Police Station and lodge FIR against Mr. Medonizo,” the authorities stated in the press release.
On receiving the report of the crime, police personnel rushed to the spot and arrested the accused. The personnel also confiscated the “sword” used in the crime. The victim was sent to CISHR for medical treatment. According to the medical report, the victim suffered multiple cut injuries on the thighs, the police said.
