Pneumonia awareness campaign launched in Mokokchung

Dimapur, Nov. 12 (EMN): Saans (Social Awareness and Action Plan to Neutralise Pneumonia Successfully) campaign was launched at CMO office in Mokokchung town. The campaign was launched by Deputy CMO Dr. Kibangkumba on November 12 . The campaign will be implemented till Feb.28, 2021, a statement informed. The aim of the campaign is to generate awareness in the community and top bring down the mortality rate to 23/1000, which is 36/10000 at present. “This can be done though sustainable planning and investment,” it said.

Dr. Ayangla Saku DPO (RCH&UIP) further briefed on how to create awareness using certain platforms for identifying the early detection (sign and symptoms) for the protection, prevention and treatment of pneumonia among children.
