MSME DFO Dimapur and DIC conduct PM Vishwakarma Scheme market awareness workshop focusing on branding, marketing, and credit support for artisans.

DIMAPUR — The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) through the MSME Development and Facilitation Office (DFO), Dimapur, in association with the Department of Industries and Commerce and District Industries Centre (DIC), Dimapur, organised a one-day market awareness workshop under the PM Vishwakarma Scheme at the East Dimapur Town Council Hall, Dimapur, on January 28.
According to a DIPR report, Kiyelu T Yeptho, functional manager of DIC Dimapur, briefed the participants on various schemes under the Ministry of MSME and the state government, urging artisans to seek guidance and support through the DIC.
An interactive session on branding, product design and marketing was conducted by Neingnethem Hengna, founder and director of Runway Nagaland, focusing on value addition and market linkage for traditional products.
Rongsenyangla, lead district manager, State Bank of India, explained financial literacy and the loan component under the PM Vishwakarma Scheme.

This was followed by an interactive question-and-answer session involving artisans and officials, where queries related to training, toolkits and credit support were addressed. A special helpdesk under the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) scheme was also set up to facilitate credit-related queries.
The PM Vishwakarma Scheme is a central sector scheme aimed at recognising and empowering traditional artisans and craftspeople engaged in 18 identified trades such as carpentry, basket weaving and blacksmithing.
