PM Modi to visit Karbi Anglong on April 28

Diphu, April 4 (EMN): Prime minister Narendra Modi will be visiting Rongkut Loring-Thepi under Howraghat sub-division in Karbi Anglong and West Karbi Anglong to lay foundation stone for projects on April 28.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma will also visit Diphu from April 15 to 17^th. During the three-day visit of the chief minister, a public meeting will be held, where he will distribute cheques to the surrendered militants and appointment letters to the TET qualified teachers, an update from the DPRO informed.

In view of the PM visit, a meeting was held to discuss the arrangements and constitute a core committee and sub-committee for smooth functioning of the event at Arboretum hall, Matipung on Monday.
