Player’s 11 wins summer t20 tennis ball tourney

Wokha, July 7 (EMN): Player's 11 emerged as the Champion of the 9th edition of T20 Summer Tennis Ball Cricket Tournament 2017 after beating Ducksters by 7 wickets on Friday at Wokha local ground. The tournament was organised by GA Project Youth Organisation (GAPYO). In the final match, after having won the toss and electing to bat first Ducksters set a target of 94 runs for the loss of 8 wickets. Chasing, Player’s 11 overcame the target in just 14.4 overs with Renjanthung Tungoe scoring a quickfire 44 runs off just 35 deliveries. The match patron of the final match, Penthungo Ngullie secretary, Senior Knoble Klan (SNK) handed over the trophy along with a cash prize of Rs.17,000/- and certificates to the winner. Ducksters walked away with a trophy and a cash prize of Rs.10, 000/- along with certificates. PWD Cricket Club was adjudged the Best Team and walked away with a cash prize of Rs. 3000/-.
