Pinnacle Skills to execute HSBC’s programme

HSBC Skills for Life is a five year INR 100 crore commitment by HSBC India that would focus on employment and entrepreneurship-linked skill development of disadvantaged youth, upskilling of teachers and educators, and women’s empowerment through financial education and livelihood enhancement. Under the programme, Pinnacle Skills would train 580 youth of Nagaland in sectors like hospitality, IT-ITeS and telecom. The partner orientation workshop for the selected organisations was held on April 2 and 3 at the Orchid Hotel, Mumbai. Among the prominent persons, who spoke at the event, included CEO of HSBC India Surendra Rosha; senior vice president and head of corporate sustainability HSBC Aloka Majumdar; partner of Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu India Pvt Ltd Kumar Kandaswami; CEO of EduBridge Learning Pvt Ltd Girish Singhania. Team from Pinnacle Skills, who attended the workshop included its chief executive Dr. Yan Murry; executive director Jenny Haining Murry; and head of operations Debojyoti Sarkar. Admissions to the training programme would start in centres of Pinnacle Skills by April 2019.
