Pinnacle Skills opens a new training centre in Kohima to enhance skill development and employment opportunities.

DIMAPUR — A new training centre of Pinnacle Skills was inaugurated at TCP Gate, Kohima, on June 26, to bridge the skills gap and create sustainable employment opportunities for youth in Nagaland.
According to a press release, the ribbon-cutting ceremony was carried out by special guest Zubemo Tsanglao, Additional Director, Department of Employment, Skills Development and Entrepreneurship.
In his address, Tsanglao spoke on the need for skill-based education in Nagaland. Referring to the surplus of government employees and the resulting economic imbalance, he said every youth should be equipped with practical skills.
He encouraged students to pursue international placements and learn foreign languages, stating that skills combined with language proficiency significantly enhance career prospects. He also appreciated Pinnacle Skills for its contribution to skill development in the state and extended his best wishes to the students and faculty.
Earlier, delivering the welcome address, Dr. Yan Murry, Chief Executive Officer of Pinnacle Skills, reflected on the institution's decade-long journey in Kohima. He said Pinnacle Skills is the first NSDC-certified training centre in the state.
Highlighting the importance of certification, Dr. Murry urged students to value their credentials. He also proposed social responsibility for every batch, encouraging initiatives such as tree plantation and cleanliness drives as a way of giving back to Kohima.
