Pictorial book on Narendra Modi released

Hours before the maiden arrival of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Nagaland, a pictorial book entitled “The Man with a Mission, Our Beloved Prime Minister: Shri Narendra Modi” compiled by Er. Vekho Swuro was released in Kohima this morning.
Former Minister and MLA, Dr. T M Lotha formally releasing the book at his private residence in Old Ministers’ Hill congratulated the author stating that Naga society has many educated people but only few can write, as writing is also an art. He expressed the hope that Er. Vekho Swuro would be motivated to write more books to educate the society.Making an introductory note, author Vekho Swuro said after writing about Narendra Modi’s life story in a vernacular daily from August 19 to September 3, 2014, the BJP mandal presidents from Phek district and a host of Naga elders and mothers had shown ardent curiosity to know more about him.
Thus, to accomplish their desire, he ventured out with a self commitment to prepare a Coffee table Book which could concentrate mostly on photos; with a great hope for readers to have first hand information and knowledge about his childhood as a tea selling boy who now through his hard work, dedication and vision has become the Prime Minister of the world’s largest democratic nation which is no mean feat for an individual.
He acknowledged the Prime Minister’s Office for giving the approval to publish and release the book.
The book, he said, has 496 pictures depicting of the life of Narendra Modi from his childhood to a tea seller in railway station to Chief Minister of Gujarat to the present elevation Prime Minister of the country.
Swuro has donated the book to the Poverty Alleviation Society, Phek District for their means of raising fund to help educate the students from poorest of the poor families.
President of Poverty Alleviation Society Phek district, Neikhote Theke lauded Swuro for contributing the special book to the Society to use the earnings for the benefit of the poor of the poorest students in the government notified educationally backward district in Nagaland.
The programme chaired by Wesete commenced with prayer by Vekhwutso Vasa. Senior Advocate Khupo Kezo tendered the vote of thanks.
