Kohima, Sept 9 (EMN): The 23rd general session and freshers’ day of the Phüsachodümi Students’ Union of Kohima was held on Sep. 8 at Ura Academy hall, Mission Compound in Kohima.
Additional director (HOD) department of Tourism, Akhale Vizol Khamo was the speaker during the event.
While highlighting on the blooming industry of tourism in Nagaland and employment opportunities in tourism for the thousands of educated unemployed youths,
Khamo stressed on the importance of social etiquettes, hospitality, honesty and hard work in every student`s life.
Vevozo Vero in his presidential address congratulated the freshers for their success in the recent held examination.
He said that this is the first step towards following ‘their dreams and achieving your goals’ and believed that the journey towards the goal with hardwork and honesty will bring more achievements to oneself and to the community.
He reminded the students that it was their duty to be vigilant in protecting their dreams and not only embrace the opportunities to succeed.
“I believe that all of us as an individual is a leader in our own ways and together we can make a better tomorrow and contribute to our community and society at large” said the president.
The newly executive members for the tenure 2018-2019 were also elected with Vekusa Ruho as the president, Thepuchokholu Chuzho as vice president and as general secretary, Vezhorayi Kotso.
