Dimapur, Sep. 25 (EMN): The Phek unit of the All Nagaland Private School Association (ANPSA) held its annual seminar on Sep. 22 at Nazareth School in Pfutsero town. The unit issued a press release on Monday.
The president of the ANPSA (central) Bithungo Kikon was the guest speaker and Sabu Koza, vice president, of the ANPSA’s Phek unit, was the moderator of the program.
210 teachers from 27 schools along with their principals and headmasters attended the seminar, the organisers informed.
In his address Bithungo Kikon called Phek district a progressive district “in terms of basic amenities.”
‘He insisted that the role of parents is to be more encouraging, supporting and appreciative of educative environment,’ the press release stated. ‘He encouraged the teachers by saying that they are the foundation builders and the attitude of the child. He advised the teachers to have a road plan for the future to set an example for the students to emulate.’
Sabu Koza, the moderator of the seminar, “cleared many doubts raised by the teachers,” the press release stated. “He encouraged the eligible teachers to make use of this opportunity to get themselves trained as it turns out to be much cheaper than the regular course,” the organisers stated in the press release.
