Phek Wrestling Association: Wrestling meet from January 13

DIMAPUR — The Phek Wrestling Association (PWA) will hold its 46th Wrestling Meet and 3rd Under-16 Wrestling Meet on January 13 at Phek village local ground.

MLA Kuzholuzo (Azo) Nienu, Leader NPF Legislature Party will be the inaugural guest while Chivozo Soho, chairman Phek village council will be the guest of honour. Reigning champion Vekutho Soho will be the torch bearer of the meet.

PWA President Thuputhiyi Venuh will deliver presidential address while PWA joint secretary Shede Soho will administer oath to the wrestlers.

The programme will be chaired by PWA vice president Vepichi Keyho while welcome address will be delivered by Phek Village Youth Organisation president Thupuve Vero.

The prize donors for A Team includes Vepalu Khesoh who will donate INR 35000 (first prize) in memory of her deceased husband Zhosheto Khesoh, INR 20000 (second prize) from Vepichi Keyho, secretary of Phek village VDB, INR 15000 (third prize) from Thupuve Vero, president, and INR 10000 (fourth prize) will be sponsored by Khosapa Venuh, president of Phek District Congress Committee.
