Dimapur, Sep. 15 (EMN): As part of its monthly activities, the Phek Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) team provided healthcare services in 11 villages during the month of August.
The team comprised of Dr. Martin, MO Lozaphuhu; Dr. Kuosalhou, MO Khuza; Zasetsolu, lab-technician; and Kiviholi, MMU nurse, stated a press release from CMO Phek in an update.
It stated that a total of 762 patients availed the services out of which 42 patients were referred to higher facilities. The team attended to 70 ante-natal cases and also performed lab-tests for blood sugar, pregnancy test and HB% estimation for all ANC cases. Besides, it conducted blood smears/ RDT test for malaria and sputum for tuberculosis.
Health talks were also given on non-communicable disease (NCD) and home management on Diarrhoea. The villages covered by the MMU team included Kutsapo, Phugi, K Bawe, Thenizu, Pholami, Gidemi, Thetsumi, Zelome, Akhen and Kanjan.
