Dimapur, Sep 9 (EMN): Along with the rest of the world, Phek Government College observed International Literacy Day on September 8 at College Administrative building. The programme was jointly organised by the Literary and Performing Arts club under the theme ‘Literacy in a digital world’.
To mark the celebration, an inter-class competition such as quiz, sketching, spelling bee, extempore speech, slogan writing, drama and choir were conducted for semester students.
The college also participated in national essay competition under the topic ‘Increasing electoral participation through Voter registration and turnout’ as directed by the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Phek.
Assistant Prof. Diezeno Tase in her concluding remark thanked the principal, teaching faculty for willingly sponsoring the winner prizes and the students for their active participation.
