Phek: Girl’s Choir Secheku Music Ministry wins 2nd virtual singing competition

Dimapur, June 30 (EMN): Girl’s Choir Secheku Music Ministry was adjudged as the winner of the second edition of the virtual singing competition of Phek on the theme ‘Your Voice, Your Strength.’
The result was announced on the official twitter account of the Nagaland government (MyGov Nagaland) on Tuesday evening.
The competition was held under the aegis of district administration and District Level Centre for Women- Mahila Shakti Kendra (Beti Bachao Beti Padhao) Phek in collaboration with Task Force for Music and Arts (TaFMA) Nagaland.
According to the rules of the competition, all participating teams shared a common song titled, “A Million Dreams” from the movie “The Greatest Showman.”
The other category winners include The Celestial Voices for ‘best video’ and Girls of Hope for ‘best creativity/originality’.
While, Narcissus, Magik Biz and Female Voice (Jubal Centre) bagged the consolation prize.
The advisor of TaFMA, Theja Meru, in his tweet congratulated the winner of the second edition of the virtual singing competition stating it a ‘brilliant performance.’
Altogether eight bands/choirs and 40 girls participated in the competition.
The winning choir was rewarded with a cash prize of INR 10,000 with certificates. While the winners for best video and best creativity/originality were rewarded with INR 6000 each respectively.
Consolation prizes of INR 2000 each were given away to three bands and INR 1000 to two other participating bands were rewarded.
