DIMAPUR — The Phek District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting was held on July 15 at DPDB conference hall.
Deputy Commissioner and vice chairman of DPDB Phek, Kumar Ramnikant conducted the meeting, a DIPR report stated.
During the meeting, Minister for Power and Parliamentary Affairs, KG Kenye, who is also chairman of DPDB Phek, called upon various committees involved in the celebration of the 50th Year of Phek district to provide their full cooperation for the success of the programme, scheduled for December 21, 2023.
The house deliberated on the registration of the Active Multipurpose Cooperative Society at Pfutsero and recommended necessary action to the authority concerned.
The house also discussed and recommended the opening of a new private school at Zhavame village initiated by Zhavame Baptist Church. The recommendation was forwarded to the department concerned further necessary action.
The meeting further approved the newly constituted verification of the Local Area Development Programme (LADP) for 2023-2024.
Executive engineer, Department of Water Resources, Hutovi Swu, gave a PowerPoint presentation on the departmental activities during the meeting. Representatives from the National Highways & Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL) who attended the meeting also presented the progress report on the ongoing construction of the National Highway in Phek district.
The deputy commissioner informed the Department of Urban Development Phek, Police Administration and the Telecom department to present their departmental activities in the next DPDB meeting.
