Phek College felicitates arm wrestling gold medallist Vethozo Lohe
DIMAPUR — Vethozo Lohe, who recently won the gold medal in the 78 kg youth category (right arm) at the International Federation of Arm Wrestling (IFA), World Arm Wrestling Championship in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, was felicitated by the faculty of Phek Government College.
According to a press release, the programme was presided over by Neiwe Mero, assistant professor and president of the Phek Government College Teachers’ Association.
Dr. T Tiakaba Jamir, the college’s principal, and Dr. Nutazo Lohe, the college’s IQAC coordinator, both congratulated him on his success and lauded him for bringing honour to the institution.
Lohe, a B.A. first semester student, thanked the college and all donors for their financial support, moral support, and prayers, and credited his success to his consistent and rigorous hard work, which he put in over the years of training.
On the occasion, he urged his fellow students to work hard and believe in their dreams, adding that nothing is impossible.
The college also lauded the students who are a part of The Fervent group, which recently won a district level folk song contest and finished second at the state level youth festival held in Kohima.
The college also congratulated Vemuzholu Keyho of the B.A. fifth semester on finishing second in the state level marathon race ‘Red Run’ organised by the Nagaland State Aids Control Society (NSACS).
It extended best wishes to Keyho, who will be representing the state in the national level marathon race scheduled for October 8 in Goa.
