Dimapur, Aug. 17 (EMN): Minister for PHED Jacob Zhimomi visited Khelhoshe Polytechnic at Atoizu in Zunheboto on August 14 and interacted with the community there.
Interest groups of the institution issued a press release to the media on Saturday informing about his visit.
The Khelhoshe Polytechnic Teachers Association and another, ‘KPYA,’ issued the press release to the media.

“The association disclosed that there is a problem of land acquisition which hampers development at KPA for which the institution has also appraised the government for outright purchase on many occasions and the same have been agreed by the land donors for smooth functioning and upgradation of the institution,” the press release stated.
“However, till now no positive response from the government for the outright purchase and hampers developments in the institution therefore the association demands for outright purchase at the earliest.”
The minister was stated to have said that upgrading the institution is the outmost priority of the institution.
Further, according to the press release, he assured to ‘give his best efforts for timely upgrade’ of the institution.
