PHED minister adopts Mapulumi village

Dimapur, April 21 (EMN): Minister of Public Health Engineering (PHED), Jacob Zhimomi, has adopted Mapulumi village under 31 Akuluto assembly constituency in Zunheboto district with an objective to work along with the community at the grassroots, while also ensuring the village towards the path of progress and development in line with the rest of the state.

Speaking at the Mapulumi village adoption programme on April 21, the minister called upon the villagers and leaders to extend cooperation and support towards the policy of the government to ensure inclusive growth and progress. While lauding the works initiated by MLA and advisor, Kazheto Kinimi, to bring development to the constituency, the minister urged the villagers, area public leaders and civil societies to extend cooperation and support the advisor for all round progress and development.

In expressing his commitment to bring about development programmes to the village, Jacob Zhimomi cautioned the villagers not to hamper the initiatives of the government by way of claiming land ownership compensations.

Also speaking at the programme, Kazheto Kinimi highlighted the village adoption programme by the BJP legislators. He has express gratitude to Jacob Zhimomi for his concern shown towards Mapulumi village. Kinimi has assured to extend support and work hand-in-hand with the minister to ensure continued progress and development of the village.

Kinimi also highlighted the various development activities undertaken by him at 31 Akuluto AC. He further spoke on the various ongoing development projects that would help the constituency and its people.

The programme was chaired by Esther Sema, while an invocation prayer was pronounced by Azheto Shohe, pastor of NCRC, and the welcome address was delivered by Khekato Chishi, head GB.

Short speeches were also delivered by Hekavi Chophi, president of LMUD, and Akashe Zhimomi, president of DCCI. Omekali V Chishi presented a song, while the vote of thanks was delivered by Hotovi Chishi and the benediction was pronounced by Xunito Zhimomi, pastor of MBC.

The minister was accompanied by host of officers from the Zunheboto district administration, SP Zunheboto, ADC Akuluto, EAC Atoizu, Dobashis, GBs, party officials and public leaders.
