Dimapur, May 15 (EMN): A woman in Dimapur was allegedly mocked by pharmacists on Saturday after she advised them to clear a pile of waste lying outside their establishment.
The woman, who is also a member of a group involved in waste management drive, shared the ‘not so surprising’ encounter to Eastern Mirror.
She recounted that she had gone to the pharmacy to buy medicines when she saw waste lying next to a dustbin.
Irked by the sight, she asked those working at the pharmacy to clear their garbage.
However, to her surprise, instead of clearing their garbage, they called her “mother India” and murmured among themselves, she said.
It was only when she schooled them by posting a picture of the scene on social media that they began to clear the garbage, she added.
She lamented that ‘most of the people had this same attitude’ when it comes to sharing responsibility and at the end of the day, blame the government and those who are involved in keeping the city clean.
