Pharmaceutical company donates medicines

Dimapur, July 17 (EMN): Managing director of Maharashtra based Arobic Remedies and Pharmaceuticals company and wife of the state ADGP (Admn) Sandeep Damgadge, Leena Damgadge, donated medicines worth more than INR 3 lakh for distribution to the poor and needy of Dimapur on July 17.

A DIPR report stated that the additional deputy commissioner (ADC) of Dimapur, Atokhe Aye, on behalf of the district administration, received the medicines at the police mess in Chümoukedima. The consignment consisted of anti-allergy, iron, liver tonic, multivitamins, calcium supplement, pain killer, medicines for easing acidity, fever and several other basic essentials medicines for pregnant women etc.

The ADC thanked the donor and hoped that her generous contribution would benefit the needy persons.

Meanwhile, Leena suggested that proper medicines should also reach the interior districts of Nagaland.

Earlier on July 14, Leena Tamgadge, in collaboration with the Nagaland Police Family Welfare Association (NPFWA) donated medicines to the unit hospitals during a programme held in the conference hall of the Police Headquarters (PHQ).

Speaking at the programme, Leena Tamgadge stated that the initiative of donating medicines was done with the hope to benefit the jawans and their families. She further expressed her willingness to help in the future.

NPFWA president, Mesangla Longkumer, has thanked Tamgadge for the act of benevolence and also highlighted the activities of the association.

The programme was also attended by Reshmi Saravanan, wife of special secretary (Home) SR Saravanan, and Saranya Manoj, wife of SP (crime) Manojkumar A.
